Have you noticed a trend?

I first noticed it when Jimmy Carter was Inept-In-Chief.  It happened again when  Billary Clinton was Philanderer-In-Chief.  It is happening now that we have Imam-in-Chief.  I wonder why that is.  I remember  that many of our national leaders have attempted international blackmail to coerce other nations to assist us.  I wonder why these under-whelming democrats cannot see what I see.

The United States has the largest deposits of natural energy resources in the world.  We know now that the area encompassing Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado has more Oil than the Middle East.  We know the United States has the largest deposit of Natural Gas to be found anywhere.  We have a very large deposit of Uranium.   We have a large desert area where the sun shines 250 days per year.  Why, then, are we held hostage to import oil?

I remember when Ronald Regan decided to permit more oil exploration, the oil cartel suddenly figured out the price of oil had to be reduced.  When G.W. Bush did a similar thing, oil suddenly dropped.  However when these democrats get in power and the tree hugging environmentalist whackos are back in favor, the price of oil skyrockets.  The United States has wonderful power, but we refuse to use it. I recall that the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument was established specifically to prevent oil exploration where a vast pool of oil was expected to be exploited.  I wonder why?

Since manufacturing has been largely killed, and power plants are being shuttered in the name of the almighty EPA, we are forced to use imported oil.  It is a shame, really, when we have so much here.  Why is it that these nutcases are insistent that we use imported oil.  I have a really good idea why, and I'll likely express it another time.  Why have there been no oil refineries built in the last 10+ years?  Why does each electric producing plant proposed met with such venom?  Why are the regulators and the so-called environmental protectionists so intent on putting us back to the 1820's?  How much are they being paid to protest every advance being made, and who pays them?

It's time for the United States to get back to work.  We need to start producing our own products, energy,  and self esteem.  We have the technology to bring ocean water into the dessert, purify it, sell the by-products to pay for itself.  The technology existed more than 20 years ago as proven by one of my former co-workers.  Why we think there is insufficient water to irrigate the desert I can't imagine.  We can produce oil and water cheaply, and rather easily.  Why will we not do it?  Because our national leaders are afraid the people will actually have a little wealth and they want us to be as poor as the poorest 3rd country nation.
